Hey Everyone,

I have built an addon for Minishift which will install the Mobile Core into your Minishift local development cluster.

You can see the demo here:

And the addon and accompanying readme is in this repo:

If you have any questions or  comments, let me know.

Thanks,
Phil.

Great demo, Phil. This is really cool.

Does this mean that we can either use the add-on or the installation script in mobile-core repo to setup the development environment? Is there big difference between the two?

@Wei I imagine that you could use the minishift plugin for trying it out and propbaly for developing the CLI against, but not sure if you could use it for developing the UI, Phil might know more though

As far as I understand the purpose for the Minishift addon, it should be mostly for evaluating of the platform, not development of i.e. mobile-core.
Minishift wouldn't setup the automatic ui-rebuilding, for example.

But if this was our primary evaluation method, it might be interesting to move most of our apb/service development  against Minishift.

What do you think?

This is awesome. Forgive my ignorance, but what Docker org should be used? Is it an RHMAP or AeroGear org, or something different?

That’s awesome! I think there are a ton of uses for Minishift, e.g. giving non-dev users an introduction to the platform, Tutorials and courses on Aerogear etc.
